26 y/o, living in los angeles. stopped all steroids on october 13, 2013. i've been a heavy user of medium to high potency steroid creams. these were applied mostly to my face, neck, chest, and arms. in addition to the creams, i have received over 15 kenalog IM injections and over 12 rounds of prednisone tablets cumulatively over the years.
Hi Melanie! I've been following your videos/blog recently as I'm about 40-some days into TSW, myself. It's been very encouraging to hear other peoples' stories and how others are coping with this awfulness! Although I hate that anyone has to go through this, it's somewhat comforting to know that I'm not alone. Thank you so much for the book recommendation in your video. I've been letting myself get overly depressed lately and could probably use some different techniques for coping as I'm sure that the mind plays a large part in physical healing! I'd like to complain a little bit less to my husband & family, but right now it's all I seem able to talk about! How sad! Anyway, I'll be keeping you in my thoughts & prayers! Wishing you lots of comfort, both physical and mental!
Thanks for the blog. My daughter is 2 years old and she had been using steroids for 6 months. She has 2-8 weeks left of withdrawal we are guessing. We have tried tons of different creams and nothing seems to work great; so we are just hoping that time cures. It is pretty tough because she is crying and scratching herself to the point she bleeds.
